I can understand the desire to quit now, but generally when you have a baby at the breast and get mastitis, they tell you NOT to quit then as the resultant engorgement plus the mastitis is not a good combination. Abrupt weaning alone can actually cause mastitis. I can’t imagine that it works that differently with the pump. You’ll still become engorged and that will make the mastitis worse. My advice would be to hold off on weaning til after the mastitis resolves.
I wish I knew an easier way. :-(

I tried to find a close La Leche League group but I couldn’t I wonder if Los Angeles County is not big in BF?
Wow. That surprises me.
Anyhow, I think my local library has some of this programs and I found a meetup group with plays and puppets in Spanish close by!
Very cool. My local library had wonderful pre-school programs, not much for babies–which is weird because we read to our sons as babies. DH did these terrific and funny voices.
They also have Stroller Strides out where you exercise with your baby and the stroller! So it seems that I just need to dust off my comfy shoes and start meeting other moms.
