Your Blog Degrades Women (?)
In one of your recent blog entries, Assanova, you mentioned about how you had an argument with Freckles about the pros and cons of your blog. This seemed to contrast with your general 'take it or leave it' attitude. If girls say it's degrading to women, or something, you know it's not, so why bother to argue with them? -TheProfessor from the forum
There's a difference between 'I'm this way, so fuck off' and someone misinterpreting that I'm a certain way, when I'm not. And in the latter case, I'll usually correct the speaking party. This is one of those cases.
Freckle's mentioned that I made her, and some other women, sound stupid, when that wasn't my intention. I'll tell you the same thing I told her, I like to keep my blog posts short and to the point. Therefore, your dialog doesn't matter until you become a significant character. Trying to capture every word, gesture, reaction, is time consuming, and most people don't care to read useless banter.
A perfect example is Appleface. In the beginning, I quoted very little of her dialog, but as time passed on, it became very apparent that I was attracted to her. How is this so? I quoted more and more of her dialog, our interactions, and how I felt about her. Towards the end, it was pretty obvious that I was falling for her. Should I quote every girl in the same manner, so fast, it would lose it's effect.
Some of you think that my comments are degrading. And again, like I told Freckles last night, it's my way of screening through women. If they laugh, I know she can take a joke. And if she doesn't get pissed off or cry, then I know that she has a strong mind, and doesn't take everything so literally. I like strong minded, easy-going women, so my system works perfectly for weeding out the women that I don't want.
