Dinner included the usual first date chatter. What do you do? Where are you from? Which gym do you go to or in this case do not go to….? What is your family like? Hope I am not seen by anyone I know…I kept thinking how I was going to get out of the movie. Shall I fall sick? Pass out? Make up a family emergency? Get called by work?
Gavin kept saying he was so looking forward to the movie. It will be dark, quiet, I thought. It is just two more hours! There would be no cuddling though…
So the date ended with a hug. He hugged me and I stood there being hugged. What do you say to someone you hope never to see again. Get new pictures? Get real…? I said the standard, see you around. No commitment.
I am giving up on Internet dates. Internet is only good for two things: shopping and shagging. Still, 40% of Australian singles (maybe around 60% of gay singles) us the Internet for dating purposes. Around 40% of men say they do not feel confident meeting their dates for the first time. Maybe it is because they lied!
