Mini Cooper Key Fob Troubleshooting Tips

A Mini Cooper is a unique car that offers classic style and excellent handling. However, it's not without its share of issues.

One of the most common is when a key fob is malfunctioning. This can lead to costly trips to the dealer, but you can fix it yourself.

Remote Mirror Control

The MINI Cooper keyfob is equipped with a variety of useful features such as the ability to remotely operate exterior features like the sunroof and roll-up windows. This is an excellent convenience for many drivers.

The remote mirror control feature allows the driver to press the 'lock' button on their key fob to fold their side-view mirrors. They can also use the same button to unfold them once more. If you're having problems with this function on your vehicle, it is likely that the switch that controls it has failed. A local ASE certified technician will inspect the switch to determine if it needs to be replaced.

Some drivers have noticed that their car's wing mirrors will adjust from top to bottom but not in the opposite direction. This is a sign that the mirror control switch has experienced a malfunction. Remote Start
